Replacing the Jurong West market after a fire razed it in 2016, the new Jurong Central Plaza has been designed as an Active Ageing Hub (AAH), providing day rehabilitation services for seniors.

Part of the revitalisation of Jurong Central Neighbourhood Centre, it consolidates the open spaces with the introduction of a community pavilion, public amenities at strategic nodes and greening of the landscape. The complex features a spacious market and eating house on the first floor, with senior services on the second.
