In the south-eastern corridor of Selangor, within the growing township of Semenyih, lies Setia EcoHill 2 Chorus, a landed residential enclave shaped by a desire to offer more than just homes.
Spanning approximately seven acres, this development comprises 99 units of two-storey terrace houses. Over the course of three years, ONG&ONG Malaysia was entrusted to create modern minimalist homes with flexible layouts to meet the evolving needs of homeowners.
The team approached the project with the buyer’s needs in mind. The layouts were designed to accommodate a range of family dynamics, while the overall aesthetic leaned into clean lines and functional elegance. The homes carry no overt ornamentation, and their strength lies in this restraint—simple, spacious, and honest in design.
One of the unique requirements from the client was the integration of precast concrete wall panels (ACOTEC), a material known for enabling speedy construction and delivering consistent quality. During implementation, there were specific constraints and challenges in applying ACOTEC panels across certain sections of the building. Rather than compromising the design intent or execution quality, the project team brainstormed and agreed on several adjustments. This collaborative approach ensured that despite the modification, the original design remains fully intact and uncompromised.
The overall precinct layout integrates a large, thoughtfully landscaped garden to foster community engagement and complemented by a variety of shared facilities. At its core, Setia EcoHill 2 Chorus is a story of design grounded in pragmatism and elevated by intention—where form follows function, and adaptable design quietly supports the rhythms of life.
