The NTUC Trade Union House is home to this 46,000 square feet training centre that offers corporate and individual clients a variety of upgrading courses. Spanning five storeys in total, the top four floors accommodate nearly 34 classrooms while the ground floor serves as both customer service centre and back end office.
Our client wanted to create a vibrant and comfortable environment for customers to effectively achieve their training objectives. As a result, colours and textures are playfully employed in the design, with nature as an overarching source of inspiration. Nature itself represents calmness, while the sky and light embody ideas of limitless boundaries and hope respectively.
Each floor is demarcated by colour as a means of differentiating the various courses, while walls are plastered in bright and lively graphics to break the otherwise monotonous view of long corridors. Finally, the facade is fully walled in glass and provides an excellent view of the city which can be enjoyed from the numerous corridors and break-out areas interspersed through out. back |
