Number 68 is a fresh perspective on a conservation house that forms the end of a row on Cairnhill Road. Wood is prevalent in this design, and revitalizes the historic structure whilst retaining its old world charm.

A spiral staircase replaces the original linear form, on one hand updating the living room and on the other, allowing for more flexible use of space. Meanwhile, the courtyard is now a wooden dining deck with a complementary water feature that allows for a sense of alfresco dining in tropical surroundings.

The design brief calls for all three bedrooms with bathrooms en suite. In the junior suite and attic room, this was achieved without the use of separating walls or doors, creating a seamless transition. The master suite comprising the bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and bathroom is nestled at the far end of the house, making it the perfect escape from Cairnhill Road's noise and bustle.

For entertaining or simply to enjoy the lush landscaping of the adjoining condominium, one can escape to the roof top terrace. This area houses a barbecue pit and open deck, providing a relaxing sanctuary right in the heart of town.
