Offering a snapshot of a pioneering approach is the recently completed Manjusri Secondary School in which it has incorporated a few winning attributes into a somewhat traditionally-constrained environment.
Built on a 2.8 hectare site, the school belongs to a new generation of medium-rise 5 storey building. The external facade is given a playful canvas of red and white palette which is visually pleasing. An outdoor landscape learning street built within the compounds serves as an interesting platform for students to explore and learn more about Science.
The classrooms are given an enhanced layout in which they are astutely positioned perpendicularly to the corridors in order to minimize distractions. An aerial bridge constructed within each classroom forms a seamless integration linking to the other function rooms. There is also an allocated exhibition cabinet in each classroom for the students to showcase their outstanding works.
